Northeastern culture
Northeastern culture presents inherited characteristics of the culture of interaction Portuguese colonizers, black settlers and Indians.
It is important to note that culture is a complex web, which includes the knowledge, customs, arts, beliefs, religious cults, popular literature, dances and habits of a particular group.
The June festivals, the main representative parties of the Northeast culture are celebrated in June.
The city of Caruaru in Pernambuco state is considered the capital of forró, and the city of Campina Grande in Paraiba, is recognized for conducting the largest St. John the world.
The Epiphany is a Catholic festival that celebrates the visit of the Magi to the infant Jesus. This party is part of the northeastern culture, being celebrated in some states, including Alagoas and Piaui.
The popular poetry is represented by the string literature, recited or published in brochures. This type of poetry relates the customs and beliefs of the people, in which the characters can be real or fictitious. Repentistas are the singers who disclose the popular poetry of the Northeast culture.
And so it is known to Northeastern culture, festivals and typical jokes that some are found in other regions of Brazil and has a strong brand among the population.
