Pampulha, the cultural heritage of humanity

   Few people know which the real meaining of historical and cultural of pampulha.

   For those who don't know, Pampulha is an administrative region of Belo Horizonte it's artificial pond, of the same name, one of the main attractions of this city. It's located the football stadium Mineirão and the multi-sport stadium Mineirinho and several clubs.

   Every year is disputed the "International around the Pampulha", on the Otacílio Negão de Lima Avenue what skirting the lagoon. Also at the turn of the year it takes place the state's largest firework show, the bringing together people three hundred thousand in the surrounding.

   The Pampulha is very old build, it was built in 1940 when the mayor was Jucelino Kubitschek and it's fouder was Oscar Niemeyer.
